Dimitar Berbatov is officially player of the month (January) of Manchester United.
He was nominated at the Manchester United’s site. Over 30,000 people voted for Berbatov and launched him to the 1st place. 2nd is Nemanja Vidic with ~15,000 votes and 3rd is Michael Carrick with ~3,600 votes.
The reasons for the nomination of Bulgaria‘s national football team captain Dimitar Berbatov according to the site:
Scored four times, twice at home, twice away. Began the month with a beguiling display at St Mary’s in the FA Cup before striking against Chelsea at OT, and scored a late winner at Bolton before teeing up the 5-0 win at West Brom.
